Hello, I'm Lauren, a SENCo, Licensed Thrive Practitioner, literacy tutor and proud mum of 3.
With over twenty years of experience supporting children in both the private and state schools with special educational needs, I created The Nurture Pod to offer something personal, specialist, and truly child-centered. My goal is simple: to help children learn, grow and thrive— especially when learning feels tough.
As a qualified SENCo and trained Thrive Practitioner, I understand the deep connection between emotional wellbeing and a child’s ability to learn. I’ve worked closely with children who learn in different ways, and I know how powerful it can be when we tune into their unique needs — rather than trying to fit them into a one-size-fits-all system.
At home, I’m a mum to three amazing children, each with their own quirks, questions, and ways of growing. Being a parent has taught me as much as any training course — especially about patience, creativity, and how important it is to build confidence from the inside out.
Through The Nurture Pod, I offer a calm, structured, and supportive space where children can develop literacy skills, regulate emotions, and grow at their own pace. Whether your child is anxious about school, struggling with reading, or simply needs someone who “gets” them — I’m here to help.
We offer personalised emotional and academic support for children with special educational needs — guided by Thrive principles and delivered with warmth, expertise, and care.
