About Me

Hello, I'm Lauren, a SENCo, Licensed Thrive Practitioner, literacy tutor, and proud mum of three. 

With over twenty years of experience supporting children with special educational needs in both private and state schools, I created The Nurture Pod to provide a personal, specialist, and truly child-centered approach. My goal is simple: to help children learn, grow, and thrive—especially when learning feels tough. 

As a qualified SENCo and trained Thrive Practitioner, I recognise the vital link between emotional wellbeing and a child’s ability to learn. I’ve worked closely with children who learn in diverse ways, and I understand the impact of tuning into their unique needs rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-all system. 

At home, I’m a mum to three amazing children, each with their own quirks, questions, and growth patterns. Being a parent has taught me invaluable lessons—especially about patience, creativity, and the importance of building confidence from the inside out. 

Through The Nurture Pod, I offer a calm, structured, and supportive space where children can develop literacy skills, regulate their emotions, and grow at their own pace.
